CDF - Consorzio Distributori Ferramenta was founded in 2003 by the association of three historic Italian companies - Giovanni Ferrari SRL, Machieraldo Gustavo Spa and Vianello SPA - with a hundred years of experience in the distribution of hardware and household goods. The solidity of the consortium is based on a Integrated product management and development model, combining expertise, organization and strategic vision.

 

CDF's business is based on a rigorous process: identifying qualified suppliers internationally, mainly in Europe and Asia, evaluating and testing products, taking care of their customization, and ensuring their compliance with European regulations.
Each item is followed at all stages, from the drafting of technical manuals to communication and distribution, consistently ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.

Own-brand products

The aim of the Consortium is to make own-brand product lines of good quality and competitively priced. As a function of this, CDF enters into member-friendly trade agreements with major Italian suppliers, simplifying order management, consolidating purchases and strengthening members' bargaining power.

our history

2003

CDF is born: formed initially by Vianello and Ferrati to share decades of experience as wholesalers and activate joint purchasing strategies.

2004-2007

Development of the first proprietary brand product lines.

2008

Consolidation of national coverage and activation of strategic partnerships with European and Asian suppliers.

2010

A new collaboration begins: Machieraldo joins the Consortium. New private labels are added, and the coverage area of CDF products is extended to the entire Italian territory.

2011-2019

Exponential growth of CDF: exclusive brands and customer network increase.

2020

The Consortium's new course begins: the three partners decide to completely detach CDF's activities, even establishing a graphic design office in charge of overseeing branding activities.

2021-2023

The marketing division is established. CDF puts its website online and presents a revamped private label portfolio, which is taken to Italian and international trade shows (EIMA, SiFerr, Sicilferr, International Hardware Forum IT).

2024

New operational headquarters in Machieraldo spaces, with dedicated offices. Here, the CDF team is divided into marketing, import and administration departments, optimizing activities and improving services offered.

2025

Online is the new, completely revamped CDF website, where you can browse the entire catalog of more than 40,000 references and download their technical and legal documentation.

2026.... and beyond

CDF looks to the future: new technologies, new products exclusively for its customer network, and an increasingly widespread and efficient distribution. New goals are waiting for us!
